Dutch hard-rock band MENNEN recently decided to split up. The band of vocalist Joss Mennen  was founded 17 years ago, after Joss had left  the melodic rock band Zinatra.

Through the years Mennen has released 5 studio-albums and 2 live-albums.
Their latest release “Planet Black”, produced by Erwin Musper (Van Halen, Scorpions), was supported by an appearance at the legendary Wacken Festival in Germany. Other high-lights are their headliner tours in the south of Europe and when Mennen crossed the Atlantic Ocean two times, for shows in the USA.
On April 17th, Mennen will play their final show at MC De Bosuil, Weert-NL.

This will be a special evening with several guest-musicians contributing the show. Also , there will be a roll for a big choir , giving some of the songs a special dimension.

On Monday 6th of July, Joss showed up at an exhibition of Dutch airbrush artist Harm Lutke   at the townhouse in Weert (NL). He was invited together with Floor Janssen (After Forever) to uncover and sign the paintings, Harm made for this special occasion and which are related to the Bospop festival in Weert. Last weekend vocalist Joss MENNEN was spotted at a photo-studio in St-Katelijne Waver, Belgium, where he appeared in front of Cindy Frey's photo camera as a contribution to the Miss Metal calendar 2010 ! For more info, click calendar shooting

MENNEN gives away free downloads again  ! 
Just like last month , Dutch rockers of MENNEN will give away another free download-track Last month the band started with this . It’s just a way to give everybody a chance to get to know MENNEN in an easy way.
The tracks will be available first of all via Sonicbids www.sonicbids.com/MENNEN , but everybody who wants to help and spread the word Mennen can send a request to info@rockinc.nl and will receive the free track as MP3 via email. They are allowed to use this track also on other internet sites to spread them around.
This months track will be the song “The Other Day”, taken from the album “Age Of Fools”

Starting this week, Dutch rockers MENNEN will give away a free download-track, every first week of the month. This way they want to give everybody a chance to get to know MENNEN in an easy way.

Upcoming Friday 29-8-2008 , Gino & Joss will perform two acoustic songs at the 100th show of “Rock On Your Radio”. This will be a live broadcasting from Woetsjtok in Brunssum. Original MENNEN airbrush artworks will also be shown in the art exhibition held by the artist Eric Philippe at the same event.

Yesterday Mennen had their CD-release party at "De Nieuwe Nor" in Heerlen (NL). The band performed in front of an almost sold out venue. Audience was positively surprised by the 'new' Mennen and the new songs from 'Planet Black'. The first copy of the album Planet Black was handed over to Joss Mennen by DJ Roger Scheepers from Radio Parkstad. Tonight Mennen will record a live radio for Live Alive to be broadcasted early next month. More info about date, time and stream as soon as we got them.

Ready for the release of the new MENNEN album “Planet Black” (European release 26-5-2008) the band announces that guitarist Eric van de Kerkhof has been replaced by ex-ZINATRA guitarist GINO RERIMASSIE. 15 years since Zinatra split up; Gino and vocalist JOSS MENNEN will be back on stage again together!!!
With “the return” of Gino, the band claims that they will adjust the setlist as well for the upcoming tour. This will be a pleasant mix of old Zinatra classics and Mennen songs.
“I hope we will fulfill the wish of a lot of people, who were asking for a Zinatra reunion for many years this way by playing some old Zinatra tunes during our show“, says an enthusiastic Joss Mennen.
Mennen already released 4 studio-albums (not including the upcoming new one) and two live albums of which the last one the in Cincinnati (USA) live recorded “Freakalive”. The new album is produced by Erwin Musper (Van Halen, Scorpions, David Bowie) and will be released worldwide on WACKEN Records via Armageddon Music/SPV.
